Biome-BGC is a process-based biogeochemical model that can be used to simulate carbon, nitrogen and water fluxes of different terrestrial ecosystems. The model has more than 40 various parameters. The only way to estimate or set these parameters is "calibration" (data-model-harmonization), which demands a hugh amount of computational capacity. Monte Carlo Experiment (MCE) randomizes selected parameters of the model in a high number of replication, which provides pre-process results for Sensitivity Analysis (SA), Data Model Harmonization (DMH), etc ...
The Biome-BGC Sensitivity Analysis (SA) workflow starts an evaluation job on the ECOS server of MTA ÖK, which is based on the results of on a prior Monte Carlo Experiment project. ...
The Biome-BGC Projects database was developed to easy prepare, manage and share all of the above mentioned datasets (files) and provide interaction with Taverna workflows. Learn more about BBGCDB at http://ecos.okologia.mta.hu/bbgcdb/.
