Poseo un PhD en Química Marina. Siempre he trabajado en el mar, ríos y lagunas costeras haciendo evaluaciones de Calidad Ambiental.

Soy jubilado de la Universidad de Oriente, Núcleo de Sucre, dónde me desempeñé como Decano desde diciembre de 2008 hasta junio de 2012.

Fui Jefe del Departamento de Oceanografía durante 12 años (1999-2002) y creador del Laboratorio de Estudios Ambientales.

Me desempeñe como PROMETEO, Programa Bandera de Ecuador en el período 2013-2015.

The concentrations of heavy metals in the bivalve molluscs Anadara similis and A. tuberculosa are determined. The specimens were collected at 2 km from the mouth of Estero Huaylá, El Oro Province, Ecuador, in November 2013. The length and weight of each species were determined in the laboratory, with two length ranges being established for A. similis and four for A. tuberculosa.
