I cut my teeth as the primary bioinformatics officer on a (then) large scale EST sequencing project in 2001 (ChickEST) where I was involved in QA/QC, contig assembly, database creation/maintenance, and web-tool developement. Since then I have been developing tools, databases, software, and methods for the prediction of biological activity for small molecules.
