This is a group for all participants of the BioVel training workshop in Manchester, 5-6 December 2013.
You should have Taverna Workbench installed on your machines. There is also a discipline-specific Taverna Workbench version which can be downloaded from here.

11.00 - 11.45 Demonstration of 2 workflows in the BioVeL portal (ENM and Fetch GBIF Occurrence Data)
11.45 - 12.00 Introduction to myExperiment - setting up myExperiment account
12.00 -12.30 Building a simple workflow. Using Taverna Workbench and exploring BiodiversityCatalogue p. 1
12.30 - 1.30 Lunch
1.30 - 2.30 Building a simple workflow. Using Taverna Workbench and exploring BiodiversityCatalogue p. 2
2.30 - 3.00 Extending the simple workflow. Inputting data directly, via local files, via URL's. Managing spreadsheet data. Importing and exporting data to / from workflows via spreadsheets
3.00 - 3.30 Exploring Taverna engine
3.30 - 3.45 Coffee break
3.45 - 4.15 Working the BioVeL portal. In this exercise we will upload the workflow we created in the previous exercise and run it on the BioVeL Portal
