Workflow Forever Project Kicks Off in Madrid
Created: Friday 10 December 2010 23:29:40 (UTC)
We're pleased to announce the launch of the new wf4ever project, which will be providing methods and tools required to ensure the long-term preservation of scientific workflows in order to support the scientific discovery process and the development of new scientific assets. Planned wf4ever developments include Research Objects, Provenance support and Recommender Systems - important new functionality for myExperiment users!
wf4ever builds in particular on myExperiment and the dlibra Digital Library Framework, and is driven by workflow-intensive use cases in the domains of Astronomy and Genomics. The project is led by Intelligent Software Components (iSOCO) in Madrid, with University of Manchester, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, University of Oxford, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía, and Leiden University Medical Centre.
See the News page of the myExperiment Wiki for a photo of the wf4ever team!
